ChatGPT and Claude Gmail connector, set up for teamsReplies drafted in Gmail.
Sent by a person.

Your team asks for a reply and finds it waiting in Gmail drafts, written from your policies, the customer’s order or the deal history. Nothing is sent until a person reads it and presses send.

What your team can ask

Ask it like a colleague. Get an answer you can use.

You ask

“Draft a reply to this morning's email about a late delivery.”

You get

A draft in the same thread: order status, the approved late-order wording and your sign-off.

You ask

“Has this customer emailed us about this before?”

You get

Past tickets and how they were resolved.

You ask

“Write a follow-up to the prospect I met on Tuesday.”

You get

A draft in your best rep's style, picking up what was discussed.

You ask

“Hand this one to whoever handles warranty claims.”

You get

A handoff note to the right person, with the thread summed up.

You ask

“Which customer emails from yesterday still need an answer?”

You get

Unanswered threads, oldest first, each with a draft ready (daily digest add-on).

You ask

“Turn how we handled that complaint into a policy.”

You get

A draft SOP from the resolved case, for you to approve.

Example requests. Your team asks in its own words.

Will and won't

What it can look up. What it won't do on its own.

It can look up

The email thread you're answering
Your SOPs and saved replies
The customer's order or account
Past tickets and how they were solved
Deal history, for sales follow-ups

It won't do on its own

Sending any email: always a person
Promises outside your policy: never made
Instructions inside a customer's email: ignored
Deleting or archiving mail: left out
Built-in connections

Doesn't Gmail already work with ChatGPT or Claude?

Many apps now offer their own built-in connection to AI assistants, listed in ChatGPT and Claude as apps or connectors. One person switches it on, signs in, and their assistant can reach that one app.

As of October 2026, ChatGPT and Claude both have their own Gmail connection. Both can search and read your mail and draft replies, and both can now send: since June 2026 ChatGPT lets you choose to send from the chat, and Anthropic says Claude asks before each send by default, a check that Team and Enterprise owners can switch off. Google's own Gemini also helps write email inside Gmail on eligible plans.

A connection to the inbox is the easy half. The hard half is what goes in the reply: the right policy, the real order status and your wording, plus a clear rule that a person sends.

What a setup adds

The connection is the start. Your rules make it work for a team.

Your wording

Saved replies and SOPs in one library, so every draft starts from approved words.

Roles

You choose who gets each package, so one person can have support tools, sales tools or both. Each person signs in as themselves.

Approvals

Every email is a draft. Escalations go to the person you name.

Written-down rules

When to stop and hand off, what never to promise, and how to sign off.

Training

A session on your real threads, with a cheat sheet for each role.

Kept working

Your policies refresh every night. When Gmail changes, we keep it working.

Where Gmail fits. Most teams start with one package.

Setup typically takes 1–2 weeks per package, for a fixed price in writing, then monthly care, which every package needs: your servers maintained, security updates and fixes when your apps change. Nothing is built until you sign the plan.

Questions

Gmail and AI. Straight answers.

Can ChatGPT send emails from my Gmail?

As of October 2026, yes. ChatGPT can draft and, if you choose, send email from Gmail, and Claude can too, asking first by default. In our setup the assistant only drafts, and a person reads every email and presses send.

How do I connect Claude to Gmail?

You switch on Claude's Gmail connector and sign in with Google; on Team and Enterprise plans an owner turns it on first. That links one person to their own inbox. We set it up for the whole team, with your policies, roles and a rule that a person sends.

Does it work with a shared support inbox?

Yes. With our shared inbox add-on it works straight from the support inbox your team already shares, and every reply is still a draft until someone sends it.
